Vintage Look and Tone - All Horizontal Ply Walnut Kits

Just like our Walnut ply and solid S.S. Classic snare drums, these kits have a lot of low end and a darker vintage tone. Beefy, fat and surprisingly ambient, these kits sound as beautiful as they look. Most drummers pair their kits with various snare drums. This is one kit where a matching snare works perfectly. For those who own Walnut snares, these kits will round out your sound nicely. For others who own more common Birch or Maple kits, Walnut provides another option to expand your tonal palette. These drum sets are built with the Witt Percussion all horizontal approach that we use on our snare drums. Though they can be finished however you like, most drummers choose the elegant natural finish dark wood colors with the dramatic and beautiful grains showing through a matte or gloss finish.

SHELLS

Walnut ply shells with horizontal-orientation.

FINISH

Available in all our standard and custom color options.

HARDWARE

Standard Noble & Cooley cast lugs in chrome or black. Tube hardware available as an upgrade in polished brass, chrome, or black nickel.

RIMS

Triple flanged in either chrome or black. Brass hoops, Die cast hoops, and wood hoops available as an upgrade.

MOUNTS

Toms 13” and below come with Coolmounts and suspenders, mounted on the bottom of batter side lugs for optimal resonance (can be mounted on top of lugs by request). Floor tom brackets and legs come standard for toms 14” and above.

HEADS

Choice of Remo or Evans heads.

N&C BRAND

Signature hex shape badge available in brass. Painted and Reveal logos are available as an upgrade. Suspended Toms have the option of placing the logo “centered” or in the “lower position” below the suspension mount.
